Archie beats the rest
Before the pre-season friendlies got under way there was the annual event of the Blakiston challenge. A gruelling course involving carrying bags of sand and running.......replicating the heroic acts of Freddie Blakiston in the First World War details of which can be found here. Previous winners have included Dan Biggar, Alex Coles and Fin Smith. This year’s winner came from the half back stable in the shape of scrum half Archie McParland – and he looks to be in the shape of his life – well done Archie – an amazing achievement on a brutal challenge!
The blonde highlights might have gone but the ambition is a strong as ever - Archie crosses the line!
